Privacy policy
A plain-English description of the information this site uses and why.
Who operates this site
Level Higher operates level-higher.com as an independent product and editorial website. Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact page.
Information you choose to provide
If you create an Academy account, we store your name, email address, a one-way password hash, membership state, session records and course progress. If you join the build log, we store your email address and the time of subscription. If you use the contact form, we store your name, email address, message, submission time and limited technical information used to prevent abuse. If you purchase a membership or digital guide, Stripe processes the payment and Level Higher stores the relevant customer, subscription or order references required to provide access.
Payments
Payment details such as full card numbers are processed by Stripe and are not stored on this server. Level Higher receives checkout status, billing identifiers and limited transaction information needed to activate access, manage billing and investigate delivery issues. Stripe’s own privacy terms apply to its checkout and customer portal services.
Academy and community
Course completion is stored against your Level Higher account so learning progress can continue across sessions. Public Discord links take you to a separate service governed by Discord’s terms and privacy policy. When the Level Higher Academy bot is used, Discord supplies the user and interaction identifiers needed to answer the command, prevent abuse and return the response. The bot does not require permission to read every message in the server.
Analytics
Level Higher uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which public pages are useful, how visitors move through the site and whether the website performs correctly. Google Analytics may process page URLs, interaction events, device information and approximate location. Level Higher does not intentionally send names, email addresses or payment information to Analytics. Non-essential analytics storage is denied by default and is enabled only through the applicable consent mechanism. Google explains how it handles information from sites using its services at Google’s Business Data Responsibility site.
Advertising and cookies
This site may use Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure and personalize advertising, subject to your choices and applicable law. Google explains how it uses data on partner sites at Google’s Business Data Responsibility site.
Before personalized advertising is enabled for visitors in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Level Higher will use a Google-certified consent management platform. The consent interface will allow visitors to manage their choices.
Legal bases and purposes
Information is used to create and secure accounts, provide requested courses, retain progress, operate memberships, respond to messages, maintain purchase access, prevent abuse and understand whether the site works. Where consent is required for advertising or non-essential storage, that consent is requested through the applicable consent interface.
Retention and security
Operational records are retained only as long as needed for the purpose, legal obligations, dispute handling and security. Access is restricted and sensitive files are not part of the public website. No internet service can promise absolute security.
Your choices
You can ask about personal information associated with your email, request correction or request deletion where applicable by using the contact form. Analytics and advertising choices can be changed through the consent interface when these services are active.
Changes
This policy may be updated as products, advertising or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
